Boyd Beard

Boyd Carl Lee Beard, 51, of Haileyville, passed away Dec. 9, 2016, at his home.
Boyd was born  Aug. 6, 1965, in Clinton to Clifton Eugene and Mary Ellen (Phillips) Beard.
He attended school in Stigler. He married Tina Marie McKibben. To this union two children were born.
Boyd worked as a fire place installer and a brush cutter.
Boyd is survived by his mother, Mary Ellen Thompson and husband Richard of Beaver Mountain; son, Damien Beard and wife Dekotah of Haileyville; daughter, Andrea Burch and husband Jason of Quinton; brother, Wayne Beard and wife, Patty of Catoosa; sisters, Darlene Smith and husband Jerry of Vinita, Charlotte Mayhall and husband, Curtis of Inola, Helen Capehart and husband Dennis of Catoosa, Eva Priest and husband, Jackie of Broken Arrow; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifton Beard.
Services were held Dec. 13 at the House of Faith Church with Connie Thornton and Otis Wayne Phillips officiating.
Burial followed at the Beaver Mountain/Mount Home Cemetery under the direction of Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory.
