Bobby Lee Alley, 93, went to his heavenly home on April 5, 2019, from his home in Stigler.
Bob was born March 24, 1926, to Alfred and Faye (Davis) Alley in Hanna, Indian Territory. He attended school and graduated with the class of 1944 from Indianola.
Bob proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. He was a 32 degree Mason, belonging to the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Valley of McAlester, Orient of Oklahoma. He was a member of the Eastern Star for 67 years. He was a past president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club.
Bob retired from Oklahoma Natural Gas as the Area Operating Superintendent. He loved to fish and travel, as long as it was by car or truck. He didn’t like to fly and had his fair share of boat rides during the war.
He is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Alley Jett of Norman; one son, Alfred and wife, Dalia, of Stigler; eight grandchildren, Bo Jett, Deke Jett and Dax Jett, Terry Fowler, L. Jay Alley, Racheal Rush Alley, Bobby L. Alley and Alfred Lee Alley III; one sister, Elizabeth Utley of Tulsa and nephew and niece, Art Utley and Terri Shoup.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Faye Alley, and also, the love of his life, Mary “Fern” Watson.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019, at Main Street Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Berger officiating. Interment will follow at Stigler City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers will be Terry Fowler, Carroll Huggins and David McSpadden.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby L. Alley, L. Jay Alley, Bo Jett, Deke Jett, Dax Jett and Pat Clement.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to Main Street Baptist Church, Stigler in the name of Bobby Alley.
