Bobby ‘Bob’ Burwell

Bobby (Bob) Gene Burwell, 89, of Kinta, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at his home. Bob was born on June 12, 1931, in Canadian, Okla. to Harry and Sarah Jo (Pelky) Burwell. He attended Canadian Schools. In 1967, Bob moved from Canadian to Kinta, where he resided. He worked as a carpenter. Bob was a devoted Christian. He loved his garden and working in it. Bob was always kind, positive and very motivational. He was loved by all.

Survivors include two sisters, Yvonne Sustaire, of the home and Peggy Hughes, of Lona Valley; special nephews, Johnathon and Joshua Sustaire; and a host of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Betty Jo Shaffer; brother in-law, Joe Shaffer; and two nephews, Jimmy Sustaire and Marty Sustaire.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at the Oak Leaf Room with Mike Scifres officiating. Cremation arrangements were made with Hunn Black & Merritt Funeral Home & Crematory. Online condolences may be made at www.hbmfuneralhome.com.
