Bobbie June (Casey) Lindsey, 85, of Porum, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016.
She was born Feb. 15, 1931, in Porum, to Ollie Margarette Robinson and Dewey Victor Casey.
She was married to Lowell Dean Lindsey who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Dean Lindsey Jr. and wife Ann of Porum, Janis Fraley and husband Jim of Broken Arrow,  Steve Lindsey and wife Raeanne of Porum, and the late Diane Reece and husband Bill of Bokoshe. She had 13 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.
Her siblings include Ray Casey and wife Rollene, Glenn Casey and wife Shirley, Anne Roberson and the late Bob Roberson and Carol Thomason.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lowell Dean Lindsey; daughter, Diane Reece; sister, Louise Casey; brother, Charles Casey; and grandson, Kevin Lindsey.
She will be missed by all her family and friends, including dear friends Barbara Harris, Pat Richina and Ernestine Lawson.
June and Lowell spent many years together running the family dairy farm and working cattle. With a farm life, June loved spending time outdoors, working in her flower garden, tending to cows, visiting with people, and traveling with friends and family.
She enjoyed attending the Porum and Checotah senior centers activities and having weekly lunches with friends.
She was a member of the Friends of the Library and had a passion for reading, spending many nights falling asleep to a good book.
Those who knew June know she loved to yard sale. She had great taste in clothes and found it hard to pass up leopard print items, a fancy pair of shoes, or clothing with jewels on them.
June was a really good storyteller. She loved to tell about her life as a kid raised in the country and her recent experiences. When visiting with her, she always seemed to have a funny story on how something went amiss on her adventures. Oh how she loved to laugh and enjoyed people.
June was a hard worker. She could outwork anyone on tending cows, building fences, or cleaning outdoors, even through her eighties. She valued a strong work ethic all her life.
Services honoring June’s life were held Sept. 16 at Mallory Chapel, Stigler with burial at Fields Cemetery in Porum with Pastor Shelley Persinger officiating.
Honorary pallbearers were her grandsons, Greg Lindsey, Rowdy Lindsey, Mike Fraley, Jeremy Fraley and Austin Lindsey.
The family would like to give special thanks to Home Health Agency Access and Sans Bois Hospice for their support and help.
