Billie Jean Jones

Billie Jean Jones, 61, of Stigler, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at her home. She was born October 20, 1960 in Waurika, Oklahoma to W.L. & Katherine (Hughes) Martin. 

Billie grew up in Waurika, Oklahoma. She married David Jones on January 1, 1980. They made their home in Stigler and Billie began working for Stigler Public Schools in 1993 as a cafeteria cook until 2018 when her health forced her retirement. She adored her grandchildren, she loved fishing for crappie. She loved her family vacation to the beach. She also loved Halloween, giving out popcorn to children.

Billie is survived by her husband of 41 years, David Jones of the home; 2 daughters, Kimberley Jones of Stigler, Samantha Jones & Jeysson Kaiser of Stigler; a son & daughter-in-law, Denver & Becca Jones of Stigler; 10 grandchildren, Gavin, Raven, Jetson, Gabe, Landon, Maddox, Saylor, J.D., Jacey, Katie; 2 sisters, Denise Martin of Stigler, Joyce Evans of North Zulch, Texas; 3 brothers, Ed Balunas of Stigler, Douglas Martin of Crosby, Texas & Dennis Martin of Amarillo, Texas.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, W.L. & Katherine Martin; 2 sisters, Linda Taylor & Edith Polk; a brother, Robert.

Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church with Mr. Dale Evans officiating and Eulogist Reverend Tommie Parker.

Honorary pallbearers are Gavin Jones, Jeysson Kaiser, Gabriel Jones, Bobby Oldham, Kenny Apple, Billy Taylor.

Cremation arrangement made under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
