Bill ‘Pee Wee’ Davis

Bill “Pee Wee” Davis, 77, of Lequire, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith, Ark. He was born Oct. 27, 1940, at Brooken to J.D. and Edith (Madden) Davis. He was the fourth child of seven.
“Pee Wee,” as he was affectionately known, grew up at Brooken and graduated at Quinton High School. He married Jo Evelyn Slater on March 29, 1961. They made their home at Lequire for many years. He began a career as a diesel mechanic that spanned his working career. He loved working on and tinkering on cars. He was a member of Lequire Baptist Church.
Pee Wee is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jo Davis of the home; his son, Ronnie J Davis and wife, Sandy, of Lequire; his two sisters, Inez Daniels of Quinton, Katy Sue Smith and husband, Jamie, of Oktaha; his two brothers, I.B. Davis and wife, Willene, of Brooken, Jeral D. Davis and wife, Pam, of Stigler; two grandchildren, Misty Carter of Porum, Randall Talley of Sallisaw; seven great-grandchildren, Joshua, Michael, Matthew, Erin, Sydne, Holly and R.J.; four great-great-grandchildren, Connally, Kashton, Haylee and Maycee; numerous nieces and nephews.
Pee Wee was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. and Edith Davis; two brothers, James Hughie and T.H. Davis; a brother-in-law, Emmet Daniels; a nephew, Darren Smith; father and mother-in-law, R.C. and Helen Slater; a sister-in-law, Priss Krisher.
