Betty Kathleen Richardson, 80, of Stigler, Okla., passed away Monday, June 14, 2021, at the Cornerstone Hospital of Muskogee.  Betty was born on Aug. 8, 1940, in McCurtain, Okla. the daughter of Francis and Lucille (Broyles) Harp. She attended McCurtain Public Schools. Betty liked to travel tearing up I-40. She enjoyed dancing and doing the twist. Betty was of the Pentecostal faith.

Survivors include her son, James Richardson, of the home; her daughters, Lucinda McGirt and husband, Reggie, of Red Oak, Okla., Donna Richardson of Fort Smith, Ark., Jamie Thom and husband, Rick, of Kinta, Okla., Vickie Cardell of Arkansas, Betty A. Richardson of Arkansas and Constance Richardson; siblings, Edsel Harp, Billy Harp and Charlene Southard; 25 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; parents; brother, Bob Harp; sister, Lavada Sue Harp; great-grandson, Jayden Dill and grandson, Mitchel Ary.

Visitation will be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2021, at the Hunn Funeral Home of Checotah. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2021, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Harp officiating. 

Pallbearers will be Clint Ary, Hunter Ary, Ricky Thom, Brian Richardson, Michael Thompson and Brad Travis. Honorary pallbearers will be James Richardson, Reggie McGirt and Rick Thom.
