Betty Gray

Ms. Betty L. Gray, 87, of Whitefield passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2016, at Haskell County Community Hospital in Stigler.
She was born Aug. 28, 1929 in Call, Texas to William and Myrtle (Smallwood) Morgan.
Betty grew up in Call, Texas and married R.B. Gray in 1946 and they made their home in Call for several years before moving to Faywell, Texas, to pastor a church.
Later, they moved to Longville, La., for seven years, then to Gina, La., for two years then went to Corinth, Miss. for 18 years until retirement. They moved to Enterprise and made their home until 2001 when Mr. Gray passed away. Betty moved to Whitefield in 2006.
Betty loved sewing, loved cooking for everyone and loved flowers.
Betty is survived by her two daughters, Mary Coleman and husband Raymond of Loveland, Colo., and Rebecca Bryant and husband Reid of Porum; her two sons, Melvin Gray and wife Mary of Eufaula, and Timothy Gray and wife Lisa of Warner Robbins, Ga.; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, William and Myrtle Morgan; her husband, R.B. Gray; her two brothers, Carl and Bill Morgan, and her sister Ethel Smith.
Funeral services were held Nov. 21 at R.E. Shearwood Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Bill Shirel officiating and the Rev. Mike Hart officiating.
Burial followed at Enterprise Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home in Stigler.
Pallbearers were Nick Hopkins, Shannon Coleman, Kevin Gray, Darren Gray, Cody Gray and Carson Gray. Honorary pallbearers were Michael Anderson, David Morgan and Randy Morgan.
