Betty Brock

Betty (Mikles) Brock of Stigler was born April 8, 1923, in Whitefield to W.T. and Bonnie Calhoun Barnett. She passed away Monday, March 20, 2017, in Tulsa at the age of 93.
Betty is survived by three daughters, Carolyn Greenmyer of Stigler, Toni Byrd and Marty of Owasso, and Kim Hale and Jay of Tulsa; two sisters-in-law, Sally Barnett of Okmulgee and Doris Barnett of Owasso; eight grandchildren, Lea Anne Dickson and husband Richard, Stephanie Lovell, Emily Wright and husband Brent, Ami Sams and husband Marcus, Angie Rains and fiance’ James Roundtree, Katy Bates, Tyler Bates, Elizabeth Snider and fiance’ Scott Wilson; 13 great-grandchildren, Zach and Mallory Weaver, Logan and Kaitlynn Colwell, Blake, Emilie and Bethany Wright, Hailey and Bennett Sams, Dylan Rains, Kane Snider, Anthony Spatafora and Alexis Abbatessa; four great-great-grandchildren, Kylee and Camden Ware, Randell Colwell and Carter Wright; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, James Mikles; one infant daughter; her second husband, Olen Brock; two brothers, Glen and Bill Barnett; one grandson, Garrett Ware; and her parents.
Betty graduated from Stigler High School. She was a member of First Baptist Church for over 60 years.  She was also a member of Original Mother’s Club for years and a member and past president of the Hospital Auxiliary. She worked for Dr. Tom Conklin and Kenneth Conklin in the early 1940s. Betty has also worked for Soil Conservation, City of Stigler, and Hays and Buchanan. She loved pink roses and making pies.
A celebration service was held March 25 at Mallory Chapel with the Rev. Gene Murry officiating, Dr. Stephen Woodson provided the eulogy.
Burial was a private family service prior to the Celebration Service. Arrangements were under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Tyler Bates, Zach Weaver, Blake Wright, Kane Snider, Logan Colwell and Anthony Spatafora.
Honorary pallbearers were Johnny Thompson, Jimmy Echelle, Dr. Stephen Woodson D.O., Wayne Jones and Wesley Shelton.
