Beatrice Irene Pugh

Beatrice Irene (Krumsiek) Pugh was born Aug. 6, 1927, in the Lafayette Community to Jasper L. and Lucy (Honeycutt) Krumsiek. She was the oldest of five children. She passed from this life on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019, in Fort Smith, Ark. at the age of 92.

She and Kenneth J. Pugh were married Oct. 2, 1945, in Stigler. They were married 61 years and had three children.

“Mom Bea” as she was lovingly known for over 50 years loved quilting, sewing and all things family. Her most enjoyable times were when all the family gathered at her house to eat and be together.

She is survived by her son, Kenneth Pugh and wife, Janella of Kinta; daughter, Brenda (Parker) Tillian and husband, Hank, of Marlow; grandsons, Bobby Pugh and wife, Lori, of Quinton; Todd Pugh and wife, Sundi, of Stillwater; Shawn Pugh and wife, Tonya, of Warner and Brian Pugh and wife Rachel of Kinta; granddaughters, Dawn Pugh of Oklahoma City, Amber Ham and husband Justin of Austin, Texas, Brandi Skokowski and husband, Adam, of Edmond, and Brittani Phillips and husband, Jake, of Newcastle; 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Barbara Pugh of Quinton; three brothers, Earl Krumsiek of Tulsa, JR Krumsiek of Coweta and Joe Pat Krumsiek of Coweta; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her oldest son, Bobby Pugh, as well as her sister, Lucille Peevyhouse.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with the Rev. Tommy Honeycutt and the Rev. Nathaniel Craig officiating.  Interment  followed at Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory.

Viewing was at Mallory Chapel from noon to 7 p.m. on Thursday; from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, with family visitation from 5-7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

Pallbearers were her grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers were Aiden Pugh, Daltin Drummonds, Kenton Pugh and Killian Pugh.
