Bart Guthrie

Bart Laine Guthrie, 39, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa from acute Myaloid Lukemia. He was born April 6, 1977, in Fort Smith to Rev. Leo and Edith Guthrie.
Bart grew up in Stigler and graduated in 1995. He enjoyed cars, hunting and sports.
Bart is survived by his son, Blaine Guthrie; his daughter, Ryleigh Guthrie; his mother, Edith Guthrie; his two brothers, Brett and wife Terri Guthrie, Monty and wife Lisa Guthrie all of Stigler; nieces, Garrison Guthrie, Addie and husband Zak and Paizley McConnell; nephews, Gaven Guthrie, Tyler and wife Adrienne Guthrie; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Bart was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Leo Guthrie; grandparents; several aunts and uncles.
Services were held Dec. 7 at Stigler First Assembly of God Church with Chaplin Dale Floyd and the Rev. Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Stigler Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers were Tyler Guthrie, Gaven Guthrie, Zak McConnell, Cody Gray, Dustin Ogden and Brandon Smalley.
