Barbara Montgomery

Barbara Teata (Lewis) Montgomery was born in Pauls Valley on May 2 to Eugene and Oleta (Blevins) Lewis. She passed away on June 30, 2019, in Quinton.

She is survived by her husband, Dean Montgomery, of the home; nieces and nephews, Terry Simpson of Quinton, Darrell Simpson of Quinton, Annette McLemore of Quinton, Ginger Dill and husband, Benny, of McCurtain and Jim Simpson of Quinton; great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer Wilburn of McCurtain, Brandy Holieway and husband, Jamelle, of McAlester, Brock Davis and wife, Scarlett, of Quinton and Jenna Simpson of Quinton and several great-nieces and nephews.

Teata was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Oleta Lewis and one sister, Yvonne Simpson.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 5, 2019, at McCurtain Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Travis Palmer and Gary Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Quinton City Cemetery, Quinton under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing will be at Mallory Chapel in Quinton from 1 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2019, and from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, July 5, 2019.

Pallbearers are Bill Montgomery, Jr., Dillian Dill, Buddy Brittain, Richard Ary, Ed Purdom and Jim Simpson.
