Artie Mae Robinson

Artie Mae (Johnson) Robinson was born April 20, 1924, to Robert and Mary Caroline (Downs) Johnson in Fort Worth, Texas. At an early age after moving to Oklahoma, she was raised by Willie and Cora Lee Johnson.

She married Jessie Robinson in April 1951, this union blended one son from husband and together they had eight children.

She leaves to cherish five sons, Jessie (Ruby) Robinson of Oklahoma City; Thomas (Julie) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Eugene Robinson of Tulsa, Alfred Robinson of Wichita Falls, Texas and Joseph (Bernita) Robinson of Grandfield; two daughters, Gloria Robinson of Lawton and Nedra McCoy of Kinta; 24 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 21 great-great grandchildren; a host of many relatives, friends, loved ones, and her beloved church family.

Artie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband; two brothers, Jesse Johnson and Robert Johnson; two sisters, Geraldine Ross and Cora Lee Wimberly; two daughters, Florin and Willie; granddaughter, Tanya; two great-granddaughters, Kanisha and Gladys.

Artie Mae, a faithful servant of God, departed this life on Nov. 26, 2020 in Fort. Smith, Ark. on services from Heart of Hospice.
