Artie Dority

Artie B. Dority, 82, of Stigler passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born March 21, 1935, in Adair Township, Mo. to William and Ruby (Canfield) Kincaid.
Artie grew up in Climax Springs, Mo. She married Tom Dority on Feb. 4, 1956, and made their home in many cities and states as Tom worked construction mining. They settled in Stigler in 1979.
Artie loved reading books and was an outstanding cook. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends. She adored her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Artie is survived by her two daughters, Karen Price of Stigler and Robin Stockstill and husband Randy of Vienna, Mo.; her two sons, Randy Dority of Stigler and Tommy Dority and wife Lynn of Broken Arrow; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three brothers, Gene Kincaid and wife Sue of Brisbane, Australia, Phil Kincaid and wife Garnett of Liberty, Mo., Mike Kincaid and wife Cheri of Gladstone, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Bonnie Sue Fishback of Warsaw, Mo.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Artie was preceded in death by her parents, William and Ruby Kincaid; her husband, Tom Dority; a daughter, Vicki Howard; three brothers, Marvin, Paul and Danny Kincaid.
Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church in Stigler with the Rev. Daniel Milligan officiating.
Pallbearers included Kyle Price, Aaron Price, Randy Stockstill, Caid Stockstill, T.J. Thornton and Kaygen Dority.
Burial followed to Antioch Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
