Anita Faye (Leadford) Ford was born in Lafayette, Okla. on Nov. 14, 1933, to Dewey and Flora (Frazier) Leadford. She passed away in Owasso, Okla. on Dec. 29, 2020, at the age of 87.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Milton Walker Ford of Owasso, Okla.; her daughters, Cheryl Golightly and husband, Larry, of Owasso, Okla. and Cathy McCleer of Owasso, Okla.; four grandchildren, Christa Connerat and husband, Reed, of Owasso, Okla., Ryan Golightly and wife, Pat, of Owasso, Okla., Cara McCleer of Durango, Colo. and Kelsey Low of Gold Beach, Ore.; her great-grandchildren, Cole Connerat of Baton Rouge, La., Davis Connerat of Owasso, Okla., Caroline, Savannah and Elizabeth Connerat of Owasso, Okla. and Payton, Rhyson, Allie and Ryker Golightly of Owasso, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Virginia Honeycutt and husband, Gerald, of McAlester, Okla. and Reita Terry and husband, Glenn, of Earlsboro, Okla.; two nieces, Jean Fowler of Stigler, Okla. and Karen Honeycutt and husband, Bill; and their sons, Bradley Huddleston and Lindsay and Geoffrey Huddleston and Branica, all of Muskogee, Okla.; four nephews, Charles Leadford of Eagle Point, Ore., David Leadford of Pocatello, Idaho, Gary Honeycutt of McAlester, Okla. and John Bertrem and Jacqui, of Earlsboro, Okla.; and their children, Kimberlee Salinas, Kolton Salinas and Jordyn Bertrem.

Anita had many other extended family members. She also had many sweet friends who have seemed like family.

Anita was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Flora Leadford; her brothers, Lois and his wife, Orene, and Dewey Leon Leadford and his wife, Della; and her sister, Lillian Poche and her husband, Phil.

Anita was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, at First Freewill Baptist Church in Wilburton with the Rev. Ryan Golightly officiating and Christa Connerat as eulogist. Interment followed at Sans Bois Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Pallbearers were Larry Golightly, Reed Connerat, Floyd Allen, Johnny Bertrem, Rhyson Golightly and Davis Connerat.

Honorary pallbearers were Richard Matthews and Trey Hokit.
