Allen Wayne Henson

Allen Wayne Henson was born in Antlers on Dec. 17, 1960, to George and Sammie (Scrivener) Henson. He passed away in Fort Smith, Ark. on Oct. 17, 2019, at the age of 58. 

He is survived by his wife, Carol Henson, of the home; sons, Joesph Henson and wife, Brandi, of Norman and Eric Starr of Edmond; daughters, Jewel Ferreira Gomes and husband, Raphael, of Cowlington, Amandya Adams and husband, Martin, of Cowlington, Angela Shipman and husband, Gary, of Spiro and Elizabeth Fossey of Muskogee; grandchildren: Kaytlynn Henson, Leila Henson, James Henson, Sidney Shipman, Kylie Shipman, Olivia Hubbell and Amyllia Hubbell; mother, Sammie Kay Henson of Cowlington; brothers, Earl Henson of Oregon, Charles Henson and wife, Alison, of Van Buren, Ark. and David Henson I and wife, Norma, of Cowlington; sister,  Charlotte Wethington of Cowlington and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shelley Henson;  father, George A. Henson; sister, Anna Kay Henson; son, David Starr and his granddaughter, Clarissa Alexander. 

Graveside services were at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at Iron Bridge Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating.  Interment was  under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler. Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Keota from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday; and from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday. Family visitation was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday. 

Pallbearers were Joesph Henson, David Henson II,  Gary Shipmam, Jack Johnson, Raphael Gomes and Eric Starr.
