Alan Harris

Alan Keith Harris was born in Tulsa on Jan. 31, 1953, to Stanley and Eunice (Sandlin) Harris. He passed away on March 15, 2019, in Broken Arrow at the age of 66.

He is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Steely and husband, Brent, of Tulsa; one son, Brandon Harris and wife, Miranda, of Oologah; three grandchildren, Braden Hodges, Kylah Harris and Kasten Harris; three uncles, Murl Sandlin of Tulsa, Howard Sandlin of Norman and Bill Sandlin of Norman; one aunt, Kathleen McClary of Keota and  numerous nephews, cousins and relatives.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Eunice Harris; his brothers, Gary Harris and Terry Harris and his grandparents.

Alan was a retired fireman, serving many years on the Tulsa Fire Department, and later worked many years as a cattle rancher. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved to fish, hunt, leather working and tending to his garden.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019, at Unity Baptist Church in Keota with the Rev. Larry Harris officiating. Interment will follow at Keota City Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory of Stigler.

Viewing was at Mallory Chapel in Keota from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, 2019, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, with family visitation Tuesday, March 19, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m.
