Robert ‘Bob’ Adcock

Robert Steve “Bob” Adcock, 74, of Quinton, passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa. He was born Feb. 1, 1945, in Quinton to Ted and Minnie (Wiles) Adcock.

He grew up around Russellville and Palestine. He and his brothers worked in the fields with their dad mostly in western Oklahoma. He married Marsha Trower on Aug. 8, 1964, and they made their home in Tulsa the first seven years, then they moved to Quinton and settled there and raised their family. Bob liked to hunt, fish, ride down to the river and look for arrowheads.

Bob is survived by his wife, Marsha Adcock of the home; his four children, Steven Lee, Gail, Tawana and Rocky; seven grandchildren, Jamie Gess of Wyoming, Steven Jacob of Kentucky, Michael Ramsey of Durant, Robert Ramsey of Oklahoma City, Christa Albert of Houston, Texas, Matt Ramsey of Oklahoma City and Brooke Adcock of Dallas, Texas.; six great-grandchildren, Piper Gess of Wyo., Triston Ramsey of Durant, Ellie, Mickenna, Peneolopie and Joslyn Ramsey of Oklahoma City; five sisters, Alley Honeycutt, Armatha Calhoun, Charline Calhoun and husband, Clarence, Donna Stoll and husband, Doug, of Moore and Sandy Dailey and husband, Patrick, of Oklahoma City; five brothers, Jasper of Enterprise, Fred and wife, Radah, of Enterprise, Larry and wife, Betty, of Sandridge, Amos and wife, Dawn, of Coalgate and Leamon and Terry of Oklahoma City.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Minnie Adcock; five brothers, Levi, Densel, Corky, Rudolph and an infant brother.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Greater Refuge Pentecostal Church in Quinton with Pastor George Mantooth officiating.

 Pallbearers include his grandsons, Matt Ramsey, Michael Ramsey, Robert Ramsey, Steven Jacob, Slava and Tasha Lenkov. Honorary pallbearers include sons, Steven Adcock and  Rocky Adcock; sons-in-law, Jim Ramsey and Michael Albert; brothers, Jasper Adcock, Fred Adcock, Larry Adcock, Amos Adcock and Leamon Adcock.

Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery in Russellville under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home.
