Donald Lee Busse, Sr.

Donald Lee Busse, Sr., of Stigler was born in Orich, Mo. to Clawd Busse and Edith (Farn) Busse on Feb. 6, 1933.  He passed away on Jan. 27, 2019, in Stigler at the age of 85.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years (married April 12, 1964), Vonetta L. Busse; two sons, Philip Busse and wife, Sabrina, of Stigler and Donald Busse and wife, Rachel, of Bentonville, Ark.; three granddaughters, Emily Busse (daughter of Philip) of Stigler, Sarah Busse (daughter of Philip) of Stigler and Viviann Busse (daughter of Donald) of Bentonville, Ark. and two brothers, Daniel Wesley of Tulsa and David Wesley of Russellville, Ark. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clawd and Edith Busse; one brother, J.D. Busse and four sisters, Beryl Miley, Esther Graham, Betty Uttinger and Ruth Walden and one son, William Busse.

Donald served in the Army as a Corporal from 1951 to 1953 during the Korean War.

He was a pastor and evangelist. He was ordained into the Assemblies of God in 1963 and into the International Pentecostal Holiness Church in 2000.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 31, 2019 at Garland Cemetery in Stigler with Rev. Rick Stout and Rev. Heath Cole officiating. Interment will be under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory in Stigler.

Pallbearers are Philip Busse, Donald Busse, Tommy Sloan,  Eric Stout, Daren Stout and Ron Perry.
