Pauline Matthews

Funeral services for Vivian Pauline Heaton Matthews, 92, of Stigler, were held Jan. 6 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Porum with the Rev. Pat Alexander officiating.  
Pallbearers were Jerry McClellon, Ross Heaton, Matthew McClellon, Josh McClellon, Blaine Thompson and Thomas Sandoval.  Burial was at Fields Cemetery in Porum under the direction of Lescher-Millsap Funeral Home of Webbers Falls.
Vivian was born Feb. 17, 1924, in Porum, the daughter of Famous and Ira Dell (Shoemake) Tony and passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2017, in Stigler.
She married Ben Heaton in 1942 and together they raised four children. He preceded her in death. In 2007 she married David W. Matthews in Van Buren, Ark. Vivian was a homemaker and excellent cook who enjoyed quilting and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband, David of the home; children, Alene Page and husband, Jerry McClellon, of Santa Rose, Calif., Sue Young of Boise, Idaho, Wayne Heaton and wife, Jean of Stigler, Darrell Heaton and wife, Evelyn, of Queen Creek, Ariz.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Dolly Owen of Porum.  
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ben; two brothers; and two sisters.
