QHS band students in All-District band

Quinton band students auditioned for the Southeastern Oklahoma Band Director’s District Concert Band on Nov. 4 at Durant. In order for a student to have a chance to make the band, they are required to learn two etudes, major scales, a chromatic scale and sight-read music they have not seen before. In the tryout process, they are scored on how well they compare with other students of like instruments. There were 29 schools involved in the southeast district. Those making the band will rehearse together on Jan. 27-28, and will perform a concert in the afternoon of the 28th in Montgomery Hall on the campus of Southeastern University.
