Ellen B. Stewart

Ellen B. Stewart of Stigler passed away Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, in Stigler, at the age of 91. She was born April 28, 1925, in Yale to Thomas Clarence and Bessie Anna (Moser) McKinney. Ellen is survived by three daughters, Linda Rein of Richmond, Calif., Cheryl King and husband Kenneth of Stigler, Susan Garcia and husband, Mark of Freemont, Calif.; one son, Michael Stewart and wife Sandra of Vacaville, Calif.; 12 grandchildren, Cheryl Phillips, Lisa Boyd, Stephanie Dow, David King, Stacey Gist, Geoff Garcia, Danica Hammer, Natalie Watkins, Andria Russo, Stephen King, Michael Rein and Scott Stewart; 25 great-grandchildren, Michelle, Kristin, Alex, Cayla, Mariah, Megan, Margaret, Madeline, Emily, Derrick, Jocelyn, John, Zane, Devin, McKinzey, Adin, Zoey, Brett, Terah, Francisco, Yzabella, Malia, Darren, Sofia and Frank; one great-great-granddaughter, Abagail Lively; and many nieces and nephews. Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Gillespie Stewart; one twin sister, Helen Sanders; and her parents. Services were held Aug. 6 at Mallory Chapel in Stigler with Virgil Cantrell officiating. Burial followed at Whitefield Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home & Crematory of Stigler. Pallbearers were David King, Patrick Phillips, Geoff Garcia, Alex Phillips, John Block, Zane Block and Matt Wilson. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Cantrell and Billy McKinstry.
