The deadline to request absentee ballots by mail is approaching. Applications must be received by the county election board no later than 5 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24.
“Voters in Haskell County who want absentee ballots mailed to them for the Nov. 8 General Election should apply now,” County Election Board Secretary Rhonda Hurst said.
The 35th annual Hwy 9 Rod & Customfest will be conducted in downtown Stigler on Saturday, Oct. 22.
The staff of the Stigler News-Sentinel is working on the annual Honor, A Salute To Our Veterans, which will be published on Nov. 10, the day before Veterans Day.
