Weather forces cancellation of city’s tournament

Players, coaches and fans traveled to Stigler for March Stitch Madness, the city’s first baseball/softball tournament of the season this past weekend, however heavy rainfall forced organizers to stop play on the first day.
Games were suspended for about 30 minutes late Saturday afternoon due to lightening. Then, after teams returned to the fields and play was just resuming, torrential rains fell on Stigler.
