Veterans’ names, photos requested

The staff of the Stigler News-Sentinel is preparing the annual Veterans Day publication, Honor, A Salute To Our Veterans, and we are offering the community the opportunity to help shine the spotlight on our area’s veterans. The publication will include messages of gratitude from businesses, organizations and individuals, plus profiles and photos of veterans.

The community can help in two ways:

* Photos of area veterans, taken during their time of military service, can be sent to publishing@stiglernews.com. Please include name of veteran, date of service, branch of service, and the date the photo was taken. In order for photos to be published in the special publication, they must be received by 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1.

* The names of area veterans that will be featured in the publication have been provided by local residents. The list of names that we have received are posted on the website, wwwstiglernews.com. Additions or changes to the list can be submitted to publshing@stiglernews.com. Additions and changes will be accepted until 5 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29.
