Tax statement has new appearance

The Haskell County treasurer wants property owners to know that the appearance of the second half property tax statements, which are being mailed out now, is different.
The county previously used a tax program provided by the state, said Gayla Orr, county treasurer.
That program is no longer available, and the county is now using a new tax program. Also, the former statements were previously green, and now the color is white.
Orr also reminded property owners that they must bring a copy of the tax statement when making the second half payment at the treasurer’s office.
