Stigler man injured in two-vehicle collision

A Stigler man was hospitalized following a two-vehicle collision on Thursday, Aug. 15, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The collision occurred about 10 p.m. at the intersection of state Highway 9 and state Highway 71 in Enterprise.
A 2011 Freighliner was being driven by Feliciano Rosas, 58, of Katy, Texas. The vehicle was eastbound on state Highway 9.
John David Thompson, 55, of Stigler, was driving a 2004 Ford pickup on state Highway 71 and was traveling north.
The Freighliner failed to stop at a stop sign and struck the Ford pickup on the driver side door, the report states.
Thompson was transported to a Tulsa hospital and was admitted in critical condition.
The driver of the Freightliner was not injured.
Stephen D. Ishcomer, 54 of Oklahoma City, and Virginia F. Hodge, 52, of Ada, were passengers in the Ford pickup. Both were treated and released at an area hospital, the report states.The collision was investigated by Trooper Sean Haney of the Haskell County Detachment of Troop C. He was assisted by Haskell County Sheriff’s Department, Brooken Fire Department, Pafford EMS and Air Evac.
