Stigler man dies following early morning collision

A Stigler man has died from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash early Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred about 3 a.m., on 88th South and 263rd East, one mile north and one mile east of Porum in Muskogee County, the OHP report states.

Heather Nicole White, 31, of Porum, was driving a Ford Mustang convertible and was eastbound on 263rd. The vehicle departed the roadway on the right, striking a ditch and a barbed wire fence.

Gary Lee Dobbs, 67, of Stigler, was a passenger in the vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene, the OHP report states.

Luman Wildcat, 26, of Porum, was also a passenger. He was not injured.

White was transported to a Muskogee hospital, where she was treated and released.

The OHP report lists the cause of collision as “alcohol, drug-DUI."
