Spring cleanup days underway

Spring cleanup days are underway in Stigler.
The city is providing large dumpsters for customers to dispose of large bulky household items.
The dumpsters are near the fire station in downtown Stigler, and they will be available through May 20, according to city officials.
Items that can be placed in the dumpsters include mattresses, chairs, couches, lawn furniture and carpet.
Commercial items, such as large amounts of shingles and lumber, may not be placed in the dumpsters. Also, tires, batteries, brush, trees and liquids may not be placed in the dumpsters.
The dumpsters are being provided for residential customers only, officials explained.
Stigler residents who are physically unable to take large items to a dumpster near the fire station may request assistance by contacting the city office at 918-967-2164.
