Senate Review: Hamilton to serve as vice chair of Veterans and Military Affairs Committee

State Sen. Warren Hamilton, R-McCurtain, will serve as the vice chair of the Senate Veterans and Military Affairs Committee for the 59th Legislature.
“One thing about me is that I will always stand up for American values and freedoms,” Hamilton said. “A veteran myself, I am proud to have been named the vice chair of this committee. I hope to use this role to continue fighting to make Oklahoma a top state for our active military and provide further incentives for our veterans to stay in the state upon retirement.”
Hamilton will also serve on the Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Retirement and Insurance, and General Government committees. In addition, he will serve on the Appropriations subcommittee on General Government and Transportation.
“I am pleased with the committees I will get to serve on in the upcoming session,” Hamilton said. “I think that the seats I hold will allow me to tackle issues that are near and dear to my heart, as well as advocate for legislation that will benefit our district and entire state.”
Committees will begin holding regular meetings when the legislative session officially convenes on Feb. 6. To review agendas or tune into live committee meetings visit https://oksenate.gov/committees.
