Search for inmate underway

Haskell County Sheriff’s Office is currently searching for inmate Cody Cooper, aka Country. Cooper was accompanied by other work crew inmates and Undersheriff Terry Garland before taking off running near the Star area of Haskell County at approximately 7 p.m. on Dec. 29, according to information provided by the sheriff’s office. Cooper was last seen wearing a grey sweat shirt, grey sweat pants, and black and red tennis shoes. Haskell County Sheriff’s Office personnel are asking anyone who sees Cooper to call them at 918-967-2400.

UPDATE: Haskell County Sheriff Tim Turner said Tuesday, Dec. 31, that local officers are working with the U.S. Marshals and the FBI Task Force in their efforts to apprehend Cooper. Authorities do not believe Cooper is still in the area, Turner added.
