Scarecrow contest underway

Stigler-Haskell County Chamber of Commerce is hosting its eighth annual Scarecrow Contest.

Businesses along Main Street and Broadway have placed their scarecrows on display in front of their businesses.

Other businesses, organizations and individuals could also enter and were asked to place their scarecrows in front of the Haskell County Courthouse or at Veterans Park in downtown Stigler.
All scarecrows were pre-entered using a Chamber of Commerce entry form and were on display by 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Voting/judging began on Oct.20 and will end at noon Friday, Oct. 22. Judges will choose the First, Second and Third Place winners.

The public will vote for the People’s Choice award.

To vote, take a selfie with your favorite scarecrow and either post it to the Stigler Haskell County Chamber of Commerce Facebook page or email stiglerchamber@gmail.com.
Prizes will be presented at noon Oct. 23 during the car festival.
