Runoff election Aug. 25
A runoff election for the Republican candidate for State Senator for District 7 is scheduled for Aug. 25, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board.
Incumbent Larry Boggs and Warren Hamilton are the candidates on the ballot.
Boggs and Hamilton received the most votes in the June primary, but neither received more than 50 percent of the votes.
The winner of the runoff election will face Jerry L. Donathan in November. Donathan won the Democrat Primary in June.
Only registered Republican voters will be eligible to cast ballots in the runoff election. No other elections are scheduled for Aug. 25 in Haskell County, according to the Oklahoma State Election Board.
