Residents asked to complete survey

Stigler residents are being encouraged to complete a survey which will help the City of Stigler as it updates its local hazard mitigation plan.
The survey can be completed anytime before January, but residents are asked to complete it by the end of this month if possible. Survey responses completed this month can be used as city representatives and others who are updating the plan during their next meeting, city officials explained.
 Approval of the mitigation plan by the Federal Emergency Management Agency will allow Stigler and Stigler Public Schools to apply for federal assistance to fund projects that reduce hazard and disaster impacts before they occur. Examples of projects range from warning sirens and generators to tornado safe rooms and infrastructure improvements.  Each community member brings a unique and valuable perspective to this process,
