One injured in collision near Keota

One man was injured in a single-vehicle collision near Keota on June 1, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
About 10:30 p.m., Jerrod Hunter, 34, of McCurtain was driving a Ford Mustang near the intersection of state Highway 9 and County Road 4560, one mile east of Keota. He was traveling north on the county road. According to OHP, the vehicle ran off the road, hit a tree and caught on fire.
Hunter was transported from the scene by life flight with arm and leg injuries.
Seat belts were not in use, the OHP report states. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
The collision was investigated by trooper Burkley Cash.
