Older American’s Act funding available

The Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (KEDDO) Area Agency on Aging (AAA) is accepting Request for Proposals (RFP’s) from interested vendors to provide services to persons age 60 and over in Choctaw, Haskell, Latimer, LeFlore, McCurtain, Pittsburg and Pushmataha counties.

The following services will be considered for funding: Transportation, Assisted Transportation, Caregiver Transportation Supplemental Services and Tier-III Evidence-based Health Promotion. Request for Proposal (RFP) Application packets are available for pickup at the KEDDO office, 1002 Highway 2 North, Wilburton, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. or mailed and emailed on request.  

To be considered for funding, an applicant’s agency representative must attend a proposer’s conference meeting at 10 a.m., March 8. Completed RFP must be submitted no later than 4 p.m., Monday, April 5.  Proposals must contain all service components relating to the proposals.

Funding is provided in part by the state and Older Americans Act funds from KEDDO AAA and DHS Aging Services.
