OHP: One injured in Lake Eufaula incident

A Porum man was injured in a jet ski incident at Lake Eufaula over the weekend, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
About 3 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 27, Roger Roach, 63, was driving a Yamaha jet ski in the #9 Marina area, approximately three miles east of Eufaula. The vehicle went into shallow water, causing the vessel to run aground and eject the operator over the handlebars, the OHP report states.
Roach was transported to an area hospital in stable condition with head and neck injuries.
The incident was investigated by trooper Trey Downum of the Marine Enforcement Division of OHP. He was assisted by trooper Scott Lee, #9 Fire Department, Oklahoma Department of Wildlife and Pafford EMS.
