OHP: One injured in collision

One person was injured in a single-vehicle collision  a few minutes before 5 p.m.  on Wednesday, Nov. 16.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports that Heather Sloan, 23, of Lequire, was transported to a Little Rock, Ark., hospital with head, trunk internal and leg injuries. She was listed in guarded condition when she was admitted.
The collision occurred on state Highway 82, approximately three tenths of a mile south of East 1250 Road and approximately four and eight tenths of a mile south of Stigler.
Sloan was driving a Ram 1500 and was traveling south on state highway 82. The vehicle departed the roadway on the left, hit a culvert and rolled approximately one fourth time, landing on the driver’s side.
Sloan was pinned in the vehicle for about an hour. Before was extricated from the vehicle by Southside and Stigler fire departments.
She was transported to the Little Rock hospital by McAlester Regional Air Care.
The collision was investigated by trooper Spencer Schmille of the Sequoyah County Detachment of Troop C.
Haskell County Sheriff’s Department and Pafford EMS also assisted at the scene of the collision.
