OHP: One hospitalized following crash

One person was injured Thursday, Oct. 12 in a single vehicle crash near Keota, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

About 11 p.m., Betty M. Bloxham, 55, of Bokoshe, was driving a 1990 Chevrolet 1500. She was traveling west on County Road 1220, approximately two miles west of Keota.

The OHP report states she was driving too fast for road conditions.The vehicle overturned and Bloxham was ejected.

She was transported to a Fort Smith, Ark., hospital, and was admitted in stable condition with leg, arm and head injuries.

The vehicle’s seatbelt was not in use at the time of the crash, the OHP report states.

The crash was investigated by trooper Burkley Cash of the McIntosh/Haskell County Detachment of OHP Troop C. He was assisted by Haskell County Sheriff’s Department.
