OHP: One dies in Dec. 8 accident

A man died from injuries sustained in an early morning crash four miles south of Whitefield, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Gary John Sinor, 64, of Wilburton, was pronounced deceased at the scene by Southeast EMS, the OHP report states.
Sinor was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup south on State Highway 2 about 2:30 a.m.  on Thursday, Dec. 8. The vehicle left the roadway on the right, traveled about 300 feet and struck multiple trees.
Seat belts were not in use in the vehicle,  according to the OHP report.
The accident was investigated by trooper Christopher Reeves of the Haskell County Detachment of Troop C. He was assisted by Haskell County Sheriff’s Office and Whitefield Fire Department.
