Visitors who want to research educational opportunities can rely on mytribaljob.com’s unique education search engine to access 330 tribal scholarships, 287 tribal education departments and 214 universities with Native American studies programs. Each page offers a brief synopsis of the educational program with a direct link to the specified program’s page.
“This is an exciting time for Tribal members who want to further their education,” said team leader Lorenzo Gonzalez. “Never before have there been this many opportunities available. We are honored to offer them within our education search engine and continue to add more every week.”
Visitors seeking jobs can easily create “job seeker” accounts and access a personalized dashboard that allows them to search jobs, bookmark jobs, create email alerts for jobs and apply for jobs online. “We are especially proud of the resume generator located inside the job seeker dashboard,” said Gonzalez. “Many sites charge a fee for creating a resume online, but we feel strongly that this service should be free. In just minutes a job seeker can complete a series of online fields and print a professional looking resume. Having a resume can make a big difference when interviewing for a job, and offering this feature free of charge creates one less hurdle for those looking for work.”
Additionally, recruiters seeking candidates for job openings can create “recruiter” accounts and access their own personalized dashboard. Once a job package has been purchased, recruiters can post jobs, search the resume database, bookmark candidates and receive applications from potential candidates. “’Mytribaljob’ offers a three-tiered job posting system that is specific to Native American Tribes,” said Gonzalez. “We offer more than 900 unique job titles nested inside 90 specific Tribal departments and six tribal entities.
“Before creating our tiered system our team spent an entire year researching Tribes, comparing how they were structured. We found that while each Tribe has their own unique culture and traditions, many of their governments and departments have a similar structure. We hope this tiered system will allow Tribes to post jobs more effectively and allow jobs seekers to more easily access those jobs.
