Municipal candidate filings set to begin Feb.1

Candidates for municipal office in Haskell County municipalities may file Declarations of Candidacy beginning at 8 a.m. Monday, Feb.1.
Rhonda Hurst, Secretary of the Haskell County Election Board, said the filing period ends at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.3.
Declarations of Candidacy will be accepted at the Haskell County Election Board office for offices for each of the following municipalities: Keota, Kinta and McCurtain.
The municipal offices at stake will be filled in the Statutory Municipal elections scheduled for April 6.
