Mooneyham recieves Advantage Scholarship

Keota graduate, Rylan Mooneyham, was awarded the Advantage Scholarship at the Keota High School graduation ceremony on Friday, May 17.

The scholarship is awarded based on an essay and application completed by candidates and the winner is selected by the Stigler News-Sentinel staff.

“I was proud that I won the scholarship,” said Mooneyham. “I plan to use the money for college expenses.”

He also explained that his family was proud of him for his accomplishment. “I wasn’t sure if I would win, I figured a lot of people would have applied,” he said.

“We would like to thank the advertisers of the  Advantage magazine. Without them this scholarship would not be possible. Rylan impressed us with his essay and his determination to accomplish all of his goals for the future. He has a clear view of what he wants in life and the fortitude to go out and achieve it. We wish him the best of luck and congratulate him on all his achievements in school,” said Summer Long, publisher/advertising manager of the Stigler News-Sentinel.
