Local residents recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month
Wed, 04/13/2022 - 4:06pm
Following the signing of a proclamation declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month, community members met at Veterans Park in downtown Stigler on April 4 for a blue ribbon tree and pinwheel decorating program. Mimi’s Flowers and Gifts donated the bows which have been placed on the lam poles down Broadway and for the blue ribbon tree at Veterans Park. On April 8, area residents were encouraged to wear a blue shirt and post pics to #GoBlue4Kids! to show their support for Child Abuse Prevention Month. On April 24, Blue Sunday, all churches are asked to pray for those touched by child abuse.
