Local hospital accepting ambulance patients

Pafford Medical Services has resumed transporting patients to the hospital in Stigler.
The hospital has been on EMS diversion for several months, and that status was changed on Monday, July 6.
Pafford personnel began transporting patients there on Monday evening, according to Clay Hobbs, the company’s chief operating officer.
Haskell Regional Hospital, Inc, was acquired out of Chapter 11 bankruptcy on May 15, 2020, and is in the process of reopening all departments.
In a press release issued on June 1, the hospital announced that laboratory and radiology departments would reopen on June 3. The reopenings would allow the hospital to come off of EMS diversion and was the first step to bringing HRH back online for full inpatient services, according to the release.
Publisher’s note: Individuals requesting information regarding the availability of specific services may call the hospital at 918-967-4682.
