Jury returns with verdict of not guilty

Jurors deliberated about three hours before finding a man not guilty of the felony crime of malicious injury to property - over $1,000.
The trial of Larry Thomas Burnett began the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 6 and ended about 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, when jurors returned to the courtroom with the verdict.
Burnett, 57, was charged with the crime in connection with an incident that occurred in July 2017, according to court documents. He was accused of shooting his neighbor’s bulldozer with a firearm and causing approximately $2,000 in damage.
During the trial, Burnett testified as did Shane Davis, the owner of the bulldozer.
