Independence Day celebrations

McCurtain will have a full day of events on Saturday celebrating Independence Day, starting with the parade at 10 a.m. and followed by turtle races, a softball tournament and more. Fourth Fest, presented each year by Stigler First Assembly of God, will be on the evening of July 4, with free food starting at 5 p.m. and a concert in the evening.
