How the Grinch stole the show

The Stigler Speech Team gave a wonderful rendition of “The Grinch” on Dec. 9.

The performance was filled with talented young stars, including Braden Drewry, who played the title role of “The Grinch” and Madelyn Robertson who played the savior of Christmas cheer, Cindy Lou Hoo.

“The Christmas play that we get to do for the area kiddos is our favorite every year.” Director Kasey Parsons said about performing for Stigler Grade School. “We’re so thankful our area schools come to participate with us. Our kids worked hard to make it a fun show, and I’m extremely proud of them. It was a fun day!”

Parsons would like to thank Hollie Webster, Wal-Mart, Joyce Dover, and Amy Amos for their help with this years play.

For the next show, the team will be performing a dating violence play in partnership with Ki bois Domestic Violence Program and the Choctaw Nation on Feb. 3.

The team will be performing a spring musical in May, titled “Lagooned” about a cruise ship crashing on a deserted island. The Stigler High School Band will be performing the music.
