Golden Eagle Poker Run set for June 9

Gather the gang it’s Poker time on Lake Eufaula. The Golden Eagle Poker Run is Saturday, June 9.

Lake Eufaula Association will host the annual fund raising event with more than $40,000 in cash prizes based on 500 entries on the deck of Beaver Bar & Grill at Eufaula Cove Marina, 400 Lakeshore Drive.

Enjoy a day around the lake by boat, car or bike. This is a family friendly event. The odds to be a winner are FUNtastic!

All card stops are on the water but you can do the run by lake or land. Boats, cars and bikers are welcome to enter. The run course will include: No. 9 Marina, Evergreen Marina, Belle Starr Marina and Eufaula Cove Marina. Entrants can start picking up cards at 8 a.m. and do the course at your leisure. Just be in line at Beaver Bar & Grill at Eufaula Cove Marina by 4 p.m.

50/50 tickets will be on sale throughout the day. It’s a mother/daughter competition pitting last year’s top selling team, Evelyn and Hannah Gulley, against challengers Stephanie and Dani Sellers. Pick your favorite team and plan to support their efforts!

The Costume Contest is on again. Participants can dress to win cash. Judges will be looking for the best costumes. The winners will take home cash prizes.

All pre-entries can pick up their packets on Friday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the LEA office, 701 S. Main, Eufaula.
