Quinton’s Police Chief has been fired. Following a three-hour executive session behind closed doors on Monday, Aug. 29, members of the Board of Trustees voted to terminate Police Chief Joe Watts for the following reasons; falsifying work hours and records, compelled subordinates to falsify time clock records, giving false information to superiors and receiving pay for hours not worked, according to minutes from the meeting. Mayor James Stockton, and trustees Rick Knell, Zane Gray and Leonard Shafer approved the termination. Trustee Marvin Ginn was absent.
